Learning Arabic Links

These links are provided for those wishing to learn how to read, write, speak or just understand some arabic. Like many languages, Arabic has several dialects. Most books teach Modern Standard Arabic, which is used on the TV news, newspapers and anything formal. What's harder to find are good guides to conversation arabic as spoken in specific regions. To save you the research, this page provides links to tried and tested arabic resources.

Lebanese Arabic

Great for beginners, completely in english with arabic words written phonetically. Contains real-life dialog, useful vocab and phrases. Easy to follow and well written.

Arabic You Need - Hadia Harb 2006, 162pg, CD
Yet to be reviewed, but potentially very good.
